September brings cooler mornings, new routines and plenty of seasonal produce.

This month I'm sharing a selection of recipes using autumn fruits and also a few easy back to school snacks.

Recipes using autumn fruits

Baked apples are a perfect way to make the most of apple season - simple, tasty and easy to make.

Bake your favourite fruits with a crispy oat crumble topping to make this fruit crumble.

Whip up some fresh fig compote in minutes to use as a topping for desserts or to serve with a cheeseboard.

Slices apples are wrapped in a crispy flaky pastry to make these individual apple galettes.

This filo crinkle tart is filled with apple slices and homemade custard to make an attractive autumn dessert.

Make a batch of persimmon jam infused with hints of orange and ginger.

Pear and almond frangipane tart combines pears with frangipane sponge in a sweet pastry shell.

Back to school snacks

Sweet potato cookies are made using ground almonds and sweet potato and are a perfect autumnal treat.

Banana flapjacks are oat snack bars made without refined sugar and are dairy free.

Date and oat slices are perfectly packable and were created with lunchboxes in mind.

Muesli biscuits are packed with oats seeds, nuts and dried fruit. They are perfect for batch cooking and are freezer friendly.
