Welcome to another Veggie Ideas newsletter!

During the colder winter months I find I do more baking to keep us in stock. I always like to have something ready for dessert, an afternoon snack or to take out on a hike. And it is a good way to keep warm too!

Many of my bakes are freezer friendly including sesame seed biscuits, muesli biscuits, rock cakes and banana flapjacks.

While I enjoy trying out new recipes there are some favourites which I make over and over again.

Here are some of my favourite baking recipes.

Almond slices

Buttery almond frangipane on a shortbread base topped with flaked almonds. These are perfect with a cup of tea or coffee.

Chocolate banana muffins

Made using mashed bananas, cocoa powder and chocolate chips, they turn out perfect every time.

Muesli biscuits

These contain oats, seeds, chopped nuts and dried fruits. I've making these since my kids were at school and still enjoy them.

French lemon tart

A baked lemon custard inside a sweet shortcrust pastry case. An elegant dessert fit for guests or family meals.

Happy baking!
